I am Lt Col Arun Kumar Singh Raghaw, after serving in Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers for 21 years I hanged my uniform on 17 Dec 2022.
Army gave me a unique opportunity and experience in the most diverse, challenging and operationally active situations ranging from fields like Siachen Glacier, Jammu & Kashmir and Northeast with militancy at its peak and also peace like locations like Punjab, Pune, Secundrabad, Delhi, and Agra.
I have been associated with the equipment in Army from its inception stage from arrival of necessity (AoN), justification of requirement, market survey, request for proposal for the stated requirement to the manufacturer/ supplier. Procurement process, budgeting, technical infrastructure, installation and commissioning, warranty management, preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection, spare inventory management, test jigs and fixtures, technical training, data analysis of failure data and so on.
I got an opportunity to be a project manager for an automation project in Delhi undertaken by TCS. I also trained officers and jawans in the prestigious institute in Army known as MCEME. In my last tenure I was heading manufacturing unit in the workshop and was also responsible for quality assurance for the work carried out in the workshop.
I am happily married with my wife a teacher and presently a homemaker and my son studying in class 12.
